[Will there ever be a time where Sakura doesn't have a smile on her face whenever she makes a post to the network? Probably not.]
Hello, everyone! I know this is a bit of a short notice, but Tanabata is coming up soon! For those of you who don't know what it is, Tanabata is a Japanese festival, celebrating an old legend of star-crossed lovers.
[Growing up, she always liked this story...] In the legend, a princess named Orihime fell in love with a man named Hikoboshi. The two were so deeply in love that they abandoned their duties - Orihime wove clothes, and Hikoboshi herded cattle - and so Orihime's father, the king of the heavens, punished them, forcing them to live on opposite sides of a great river and forbidding them to meet again.
But he wasn't a heartless man; when he saw just how upset his daughter had become, he agreed to a deal. If Orihime worked hard, he would allow the two to reunite on the Seventh Day of the Seventh month. And so, on July 7th, we celebrate the reunion of Hikoboshi and Orihime. The festivals that are organized for this day are quite popular, and... well. I know some people might not want to miss it.
So this Saturday, should anyone wish to attend, the Breeding Centres in both Goldenrod and Celadon City will be setting up small festivals, should anyone want to celebrate! It won't exactly be a traditional Tanabata celebration, but there will be good food and fireworks, so that's something, right? It's nice to have small reminders of home, every once in a while.
[She looks a little nervous, after she finishes. She's never helped anyone plan something this big before.] Um, if anyone has any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

action;
I was able to get most of the planning situated, but I thank you for being able to make this announcement. It is easier to hear it from an individual who is more spirited than I.
action;
You don't have to thank me! I feel bad that I haven't helped out more, so I'm glad I'm able to do this at least.
action;
Especially for you, Sakura.

Maria wants to come too! Are we going to make wishes too? Maria knows that when you make a wish on Tanabata, a witch will come to grant it! It's happened to Maria before!
[ video ]
We'll be making wishes, yes. But there's no bamboo to tie the wishes to... [She sighs a little.] So we won't be able to completely follow tradition, but we can at least burn them at the end.

his world's Hikoboshithe Shadow Angel who betrayed his kind to be with the human he fell in love with, only for another human to betray and kill him, and having to wait 12000 years for him and his love to be reincarnated for another chance at getting a happy ending. Orihime and Hikoboshi have it easy.Not that this guy knows any of that yet. Or anything about love, for that matter.]
If the father cared about Orihime so much he would let them meet more than once a year.
